Extra Curricula
FREE EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES and FREE COMPETITIONS
Welcome to Extra Curricula ~ Free Educational Activities
This is the section of KeyStages.net where teachers, and all others involved in the education of children and young adults, will be able to access information, ideas and comments about leisure-time cultural and educational activities in their UK region. Most of these will be free of charge to visitors. Extra Curricula aims to increase the uptake of activities (such as visits to Art Galleries and Museums) by children and young adults by making them an attractive and entertaining alternative to non-educational activities. Also, to make these visits relevant to the subjects they study so as to enhance and reinforce what they learn in their classes.
For details of the articles and features to be published in this section of
KeyStages.net on 14th September 2007 please see below.
Welcome to Extra Curricula ~ Free Competitions
To encourage more educational visits, out of school hours, Extra Curricula will set competitions and activities that will tie in with visits to Art Galleries and Museums and other places of interest. Other competitions and activities which do not involve visits will also be published here. The first competitions will be published in January 2008. All will be free to enter but entries must be made via a teacher or another adult.
