     KeyStages.net’s Aims 

KeyStages.net is divided into five main sections all of which will be added to regularly and have been produced with educators in mind. 

 

KEY STAGES – This is a growing archive of Learning Support Material for teachers in Primary and Secondary Schools and Sixth Form Colleges. UPDATE 22nd September 2007:  We currently have 100 LSMs designed and ready to add to this section.  More will be commissioned following our current telephone survey of UK schools.  To request LSMs be added, relevant to your subjects and ages taught, please send details to register@keystages.net.  Please include a landline telephone contact number to be included in our telephone survey.

 

EXTRA CURRICULA – This is a growing archive of information, ideas, features and articles about leisure-time cultural and educational pursuits.  Teachers and parents will be able to access it to look for cultural and educational offerings (many free of charge) in their UK region. UPDATE 22nd September 2007:  The first article to be published in this section will be a survey and listing of UK Art Galleries and Museums.  As with other sections, this will be updated and added to regularly.  To add details of the museum or gallery you represent, please email Helen Price hprice@keystages.net

 

PATCHWORK – This is KeyStages.net’s first major Arts Project, free for all schools (Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form Colleges) to enter and participate in.  THIS IS OUR FLAGSHIP, LAUNCH PROJECT.  UPDATE 22nd September 2007: Details of the opening phase of this project entitles "Inspiration" have been sent to parties who have registered their interest in participating.   To receive the same details, please email register@keystages.net and put PATCHWORK in the subject box.

 

THE KEY TIMES – This is a free, lifestyle emagazine. The articles and features in THE KEY TIMES will relate to every aspect of the teachers lifestyle – including career and career development, retirement, homes and gardens, leisure, health and wealth.  For fun, we have commissioned a regular Astrology feature, especially for teachers . . . UPDATE 22nd September 2007:  Following a meeting of the KeyStages.net team on 21st September, the launch of this section has been postponed until 2008.  It was decided that the quality of the magazine was sufficient "but could do better"!   Details of The Key Times as it develops before launch can be found at www.TheKeyTimes.blogspot.com

 

VENT – This is KeyStages.net forum for all educators (including Teachers, Learning Support Staff and Tutors) and others (parents and carers) involved in the education of children and young adults.  Membership is free.  VENT forums are places to debate and comment, share experience and advice and seek advice about education related matters.  UPDATE 22nd September 2007: The forum has not taken off as yet but we would like to receive ideas for opening discussions.  Please email editor@keystages.net with topics you would like to see discussed in the future.
